Modi to visit Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan for SCO Summit, bilateral talks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan later this month, focusing on the SCO Summit in Kyrgyzstan and bilateral meetings on trade, defence cooperation, connectivity, and investment expansion in Uzbekistan. The visits aim to strengthen India's strategic footprint in Central Asia amid increasing geopolitical competition from China and Russia. Saidov of Uzbekistan expressed confidence that Modi’s visit will deepen ties, while preparations are underway for both stops, scheduled likely in the last week of August.
