TVK Spokesman Complains to National Commission for Women Over Udhayanidhi Stalin's Alleged Offensive Remark
On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Pazha Selvakumar, national spokesperson of the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), lodged a complaint with the National Commission for Women against Udhayanidhi Stalin, DMK youth wing secretary and Leader of the Opposition. The complaint was filed over an allegedly offensive remark made by Udhayanidhi during a demonstration in Thanjavur on August 3, which was directed at a film actor following audience chants. Selvakumar sought intervention from the Commission to issue a notice for an explanation and public apology from Udhayanidhi, as well as legal action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
