On Tuesday, the BJP rejected a report by The Indian Express claiming that before Dharmendra Pradhan resigned, the government offered to change his portfolio. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra called the report "completely baseless." The report stated that J P Nadda and Jitendra Singh proposed a new Education Minister to end CJP protests, but the CJP insisted on Pradhan's resignation.
