Ex-Minister K.T. Jaleel Accuses IUML of Helping BJP on Waqf Issue
Former Higher Education Minister K.T. Jaleel accused the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and its constituent, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), of aiding the BJP on the Waqf issue in a social media post. He alleged that IUML was pushing for dissolving the State Waqf Board since May to prevent action against those accused of encroaching on Waqf properties. Jaleel criticized Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan and IUML’s Minister N. Shamsudheen, claiming their actions were aimed at benefiting the BJP before a Supreme Court verdict on August 25.
