As floodwaters recede in Sivasagar, the extent of damage becomes apparent, with nearly four lakh people affected, 30 deaths, and seven missing. Rescue teams evacuated about 20,000 people using boats and local assistance. District Commissioner Mridul Yadav reported that the floods inundated 301 revenue villages under three circles, with Nazira and Sivasagar among the worst hit.
