Kerala CM slams Kogilu Layout demolitions in Bengaluru
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condemned the demolition of Faqir Colony and Waseem Layout in Bengaluru, calling it an example of "bulldozer raj" and a sign of anti-minority politics. On December 20th, government agencies demolished over 150 homes, leaving nearly 500 people homeless. Despite attempts by BSWML to erect a compound wall around the site, families prevented the work from being carried out. The affected families have been living near the demolition site without accommodation and are refusing relocation offers.
