BRS plans to hold public meetings on Telangana water rights; KCR likely to attend Assembly sessions

K. Chandrasekhar Rao, leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS), convened a meeting with party leaders from Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, and Nalgonda districts to discuss water rights issues. The BRS plans public meetings in these districts beginning in January, focusing on the alleged over-utilization of Krishna water by neighboring states and the government's proposed utilization of the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS). The party intends to counter misinformation about the lack of clearances for PRLIS, highlighting that seven clearances have been secured.
