Floods in Assam Kill 10, Including 4 Children, Leave 6 Missing
Large-scale harm to citizens is being reported as routine.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority, at least 10 people, including four children, died in floods over the last 24 hours across Assam. Six others remain missing. Floods have affected over 6.53 lakh people in 11 districts and submerged 939 villages. Over 3.13 lakh people are sheltered in relief camps. The Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF, and other teams rescued 8409 people on Wednesday. Floods have damaged roads, embankments, and properties, with over 138,965 animals also affected.
