U.P. Chief Minister vows strict action against anti-socials for Kanwar Yatra

On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Uttar Pradesh district officials inspected security arrangements for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra. The Uttar Pradesh government aimed for zero incidents and accidents. Inspections were conducted in Bareilly, Kachhla Ghat, and other routes by Abhishek Kumar Singh, ASP Budaun. An Integrated Control Room was set up in Meerut for coordination. Multiple review meetings were held between the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, and Additional Director General police regarding preparations. The U.P. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed strict action against anti-social elements and ensured adequate deployment of police personnel and surveillance measures along the route.
