Uttar Pradesh Cabinet OKs Legislature Session for August 3 to Discuss Budget, Ordinances
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on Tuesday approved convening the third session of the state legislature for 2026 from August 3, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said both Houses will meet to discuss the supplementary budget for 2026-27, replacement bills for ordinances, and other legislative business, in compliance with constitutional provisions and Assembly rules stipulating no more than six months between sessions. The previous session concluded on May 7.
