Mining mafia destroying Aravali hills, looting public resources: Surjewala

Randeep Singh Surjewala, Congress leader, accused the BJP government of failing to stop illegal mining in Haryana's Aravalli region, which he claims has caused environmental damage and financial losses. He cited evidence from the Directorate of Enforcement revealing a ₹1,200 crore loss to the state treasury due to the illegal activity. Surjewala also alleged that 383 hectares of Aravalli hills are being destroyed by this illicit operation, claiming locals are living in fear and experiencing tremors. He further accused the government of ignoring complaints and failing to protect the environment and public safety.
