More than 3.62 lakh people across 16 districts in Assam were affected by floods on Monday due to incessant rainfall and rising river levels, with over 19,100 hectares of cropland submerged. Five flood-related deaths raised the total fatalities this year to 10. Rescue teams evacuated 6,710 people using boats, while 101 relief camps sheltered 9,606 displaced individuals. Rivers like Brahmaputra and Dikhou remained above danger levels, with more rain forecast.
