CPI(M) Leader Brittas Notices Objection to Vande Mataram Bill Under Rule 67

The Bill aims to provide statutory status and penal protection to Vande Mataram. Brittas argues this conflicts with constitutional decisions and restricts freedoms guaranteed by Articles 14, 19(1)(a), 21, and 25. He cited the Constituent Assembly's decision not to adopt a formal resolution on Vande Mataram and noted that penal protection under existing laws applies only to the National Anthem. Brittas urged Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan to refuse leave to introduce the Bill.
