
UDF announces Sabarinadhan as Mayor candidate in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, BJP remains undecided
The United Democratic Front (UDF) nominated K.S. Sabarinadhan as its candidate for the Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, while Mary Pushpam will be their Deputy Mayor nominee. The LDF has chosen R.P. Sivaji, a long-time councillor and Communist Party of India (Marxist) area secretary. The BJP is yet to announce its mayoral candidate despite holding a meeting in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday, with contenders including former district president V.V. Rajesh, three-time councillor Karamana Ajith, and former Director General of Police R. Sreelekha.
