
Bunty withdraws, BJP replaces him with Neeraj Kumar Sinha in Bankipur bypoll
Abhishek Kumar, also known as Bunty, withdrew his candidacy for the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar after filing nomination papers. Sanjay Saraogi, Bihar unit president of the BJP, accepted the withdrawal and replaced him with Neeraj Kumar Sinha. The seat became vacant after former MLA Nitin Nabin was elected to the Rajya Sabha. Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, is expected to file his nomination on July 13th. The bypoll will be held on July 30th with counting scheduled for August 3rd.
