Following the discovery of a 12-year-old girl's body in a pond in Baruipur, West Bengal, on Sunday (July 5, 2026), violence erupted. An angry mob attacked police personnel, vandalized vehicles, blocked roads and railway tracks, resulting in the lynching of one person.
