Modi seeks closer ties with Indonesia, eyes defence & critical minerals
Prime Minister Narendra Modi began a three-nation tour of Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand on July 6th to further strengthen India's Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific outlook. During his visit to Indonesia, he met with President Prabowo Subianto and discussed bilateral cooperation in defense, maritime partnerships, critical minerals, food security, and the digital economy. The two leaders also plan to visit the Prambanan Temple complex. Modi will continue his tour to Australia and New Zealand, where he plans to strengthen economic ties and people-to-people connections.
