Mob lynching is a serious crime and a threat to citizen safety.
K. Rajan, the Revenue Minister of Kerala, met with the family of Ram Narayan Baghel, a migrant worker who was killed in a mob attack in Walayar. The meeting included representatives from an action council and District Collector Arjun Pandian. Rajan assured the family that the government would provide all possible protection and support, including financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund. He also stated that a special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to determine whether the crime involved caste-based or racial abuse, with no compromise in the investigation.
