Jaishankar to Gauge West Asia Ceasefire Amidst US-Iran Tensions

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is embarking on a six-nation tour from July 5th to 15th, visiting Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, the US, and Belgium. The trip aims to assess the status of the US-Iran peace framework following recent attacks that threatened negotiations. Jaishankar will meet with counterparts and leaders in each country, focusing on bilateral relations and regional developments. He will then travel to the US for a campaign launch for India's bid for a seat on the UN Security Council from 2028-29, concluding his tour with a visit to Brussels for the 3rd India–EU Trade and Technology Council Meeting.
