Over 100 prominent citizens from India and Pakistan, including political figures like Farooq Abdullah and Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, signed an open letter urging Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Shehbaz Sharif to end hostility and restore diplomatic relations. The letter called for the reinstatement of High Commissioners in New Delhi and Islamabad, resumption of normal visa services, and reopening airspace. The signatories also suggested confidence-building measures like the reopening of the Attari-Wagah land border, Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service, and the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. They emphasized that peace, development, and cooperation are essential for the well-being of nearly two billion people in South Asia.
