Kerala CM seeks West Bengal counterpart’s intervention to restore journalist R. Rajagopal’s passport
V.D. Satheesan, Kerala Chief Minister, requested Suvendu Adhikari, West Bengal Chief Minister, to intervene and restore the passport of senior journalist R. Rajagopal. Mr. Satheesan stated that an adverse police verification report was issued due to Mr. Rajagopal's name being removed from the electoral rolls following a Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala Leader of the Opposition, expressed shock and dismay at the government's refusal to renew Mr. Rajagopal’s passport.
