Ram Temple Donation Theft Case: 8 Suspects' Houses Raided, Family Assets Under Probe

Police and local magistrates are conducting simultaneous raids at the homes of eight accused in the Ram temple donation theft case in Ayodhya. The raids aim to track the money trail and assets acquired by the accused, who were arrested last week after CCTV footage exposed their involvement in embezzlement. The police are questioning families and neighbors about changes in financial status, including land holdings, jewelry, and bank savings. So far, Rs 79.85 lakh has been recovered from the accused, but the exact stolen amount remains unknown. The raids follow a theft and conspiracy case filed after a preliminary report by a Special Investigation Team to the Uttar Pradesh government.
