Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and Anil Mishra, a Trust member, resigned following allegations of embezzlement in the Ram Temple donation case. The resignations were confirmed by Vijay Shankar Tiwari, national spokesperson of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP). The trust stated its commitment to ensuring a fair investigation and restoring confidence among devotees after public scrutiny since June 7, 2026, when Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav raised concerns about missing donations.
