Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and Anil Mishra, a Trust member, resigned on Saturday (June 27, 2026) amidst allegations of corruption in the Ram Temple donation embezzlement case. The resignations were confirmed by Vijay Shankar Tiwari, national spokesperson of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP). The trust has pledged to ensure a fair investigation and restore faith among devotees following public scrutiny since June 7, 2026, when Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav raised concerns about missing donations.
