Wife, Mother, Son of IAS Secretary Naresh Pal Gangwar Got ₹1.16 Crore in Farm Subsidies From Government Scheme
The mother, wife, and son of a senior IAS officer, Naresh Pal Gangwar, received over Rs 1.16 crore in subsidies under the "Development of Commercial Horticulture through Production and Post-Harvest Management of Horticulture crops" scheme administered by the National Horticulture Board (NHB). Choudhary, who is the BJP MP from Ajmer and has been MoS at the Agriculture Ministry since 2024, also received a subsidy of Rs 99.03 lakh for his project in Peeh village, Rajasthan. The scheme's maximum subsidy per family is capped at Rs 1 crore, but Gangwar's family received over that amount. The Indian Express has questioned both Choudhary and Gangwar about the potential conflict of interest involved with these subsidies.
