Agriculture Minister Bhagirath Choudhary Got ₹99 Lakh Subsidy From Scheme Under His Own Ministry

Mr. Bhagirath Choudhary, Minister of State in the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, received a Rs 99 lakh government subsidy for his cucumber farm in Rajasthan. The subsidy was granted through a scheme under the National Horticulture Board (NHB), which he oversees as ex-officio Vice-President. The project cost is reported to be Rs 1.99 crore, with Choudhary taking out a loan of Rs 1.49 crore from HDFC Bank. The NHB approved the project in March 2026, and the subsidy was deposited into his loan account shortly after.
