The subsidy was granted through a scheme under the National Horticulture Board (NHB), which he oversees as ex-officio Vice-President. The project cost is reported to be Rs 1.99 crore, with Choudhary taking out a loan of Rs 1.49 crore from HDFC Bank. The NHB approved the project in March 2026, and the subsidy was deposited into his loan account shortly after.
