Eight individuals have been arrested in Ayodhya for allegedly embezzling donations received at the Ram temple. The accused, including close aide of Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, were booked under charges including theft and criminal conspiracy. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the government is acting based on a Special Investigation Team (SIT) report, while opposition parties have questioned the involvement of high-ranking officials from the BJP.
