Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs meet Speaker, demand letter submitted by leaders joining Shinde camp
Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday to seek a copy of the letter submitted by six rebel MPs who recently joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. The MPs, including Anil Desai and Arvind Sawant, questioned the lack of transparency surrounding the merger and demanded details about the split and its implications for the party. Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders have criticized the Speaker's office for not informing them or declaring the details of the split. Constitutional expert Anant Kalse suggested that the Shiv Sena (UBT) could approach the apex court to seek intervention in the matter.
