Omar Abdullah meets Shashi Tharoor-led Parliamentary committee, calls for sustained engagement to understand J&K’s aspirations

Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, met with a Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs led by Shashi Tharoor. Abdullah emphasized the importance of understanding the aspirations of the people in J&K. Tharoor also met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss the committee's engagements, highlighting the socio-economic transformation and developmental progress in the region since August 2019. Sinha spoke about improved security, renewed optimism among residents, and ongoing infrastructure projects contributing to economic growth.
