Madhya Pradesh: Congress seeks probe in alleged Ujjain land scam by CM Mohan Yadav family
Allegations of land scams by the CM and family raise concerns about abuse of power.
Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, is facing scrutiny over alleged land scams involving his family members. A report based on government land records claims that Yadav's family purchased 168 acres of land in and around Ujjain between December 2023 and December 2025, potentially benefiting from infrastructure projects announced in those areas. The Congress, led by Umang Singhar and K.C. Venugopal, has demanded a Supreme Court-led investigation into the matter, alleging corruption and misuse of central agencies. Jitu Patwari, the State Congress president, has called for transparency regarding land use change approvals for projects where the family acquired land.
