Odisha minister’s nephew arrested in ‘suicide abetment’ case | India News

Biswajit Jena, a final-year BCA student and nephew of Bibhuti Bhusan Jena, the state Transport and Mines Minister, was arrested on charges of abetment of suicide. The 20-year-old BCA student was found dead in her hostel room on Saturday morning, prompting police to investigate. Saravana Vivek M, Berhampur SP, stated that a case has been registered based on the deceased's maternal uncle's complaint alleging mental pressure and harassment by Biswajit Jena. Police are collecting evidence from the scene, including CCTV footage and digital devices seized from the victim's phone.
