Odisha minister’s nephew arrested in ‘suicide abetment’ case | India News

Sujit Bisoyi, a Special Correspondent for the Indian Express, reported that a final-year BCA student, Biswajit Jena, nephew of Odisha Transport and Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena, was arrested on charges of abetment of suicide. The 20-year-old woman's death in her hostel room on Saturday morning prompted police to investigate after a complaint by the deceased student's maternal uncle alleging mental pressure and harassment from Biswajit Jena. Police are collecting evidence, including digital data and CCTV footage, while questioning friends and acquaintances of the victim.
