
JD(S) likely to raise the issue of cross-voting with BJP central leaders
Sharath S. Srivatsa, after a significant loss in the Legislative Council elections, H.D. Kumaraswamy, leader of the Janata Dal (Secular), has reported to the BJP about cross-voting within their alliance. The JD(S) believes four of its own legislators and four votes allocated from the BJP went to the Congress, despite initial promises by the BJP to transfer six votes to the JD(S). Despite the election outcome, the alliance is expected to remain strong.
