Hormuz Strait, Nuclear Program, Lebanon: Key Terms Of US-Iran Peace Deal

The US and Iran have agreed to a preliminary deal ending their war, including an immediate end to all military operations and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabdi, announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding in Switzerland on Friday. The deal includes Iran freezing its nuclear activity and not producing or acquiring nuclear weapons pending a final agreement, while the US has agreed to waive oil sanctions and release $25 billion of frozen assets. Senator Lindsey Graham stated that any final deal on Iran's nuclear program would require Congressional approval.
