Rajya Sabha polls: Congress delegation meets ECI over rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination

A Congress delegation, including general secretary K.C. Venugopal and candidate Meenakshi Natarajan, met with the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday to address the rejection of her nomination for Rajya Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Singhvi, a member of the delegation, argued that the court notice was based on a private complaint and not a criminal case, and requested the commission to withdraw the order of rejection. The party president Mallikarjun Kharge convened an urgent meeting for Congress leaders to discuss the situation.
