
Chhagan Bhujbal sidelined, NCP’s Rajendra Jain files nomination for Rajya Sabha
Rajendra Jain, former NCP MLC, filed his nomination as the party's candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha by-election in Maharashtra. The by-poll is scheduled for June 18th and follows Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar's resignation. Pawar chose Jain over senior Cabinet Minister and OBC leader Chhagan Bhujbal, who had expressed interest in both a Rajya Sabha seat and a ministerial position for his nephew, Sameer Bhujbal.
