4,800 illegal infiltrators deported to Bangladesh, says Bengal CM Suvendu

Suvendu Adhikari, West Bengal Chief Minister, announced that 4,800 individuals deported from India to Bangladesh over the past month were not covered by the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. He stated that these individuals were handed over to the Border Security Force under a law used in other states but not applied in West Bengal, where they were treated as guests and lodged in prisons.
