The woman had been married to the professor for nearly three decades and faced social exclusion from both communities despite following Zoroastrian customs. The couple had no children and the woman died after a brief illness. A local VHP leader helped arrange the cremation as per Hindu rituals, with the ashes handed over to her husband.
