Drive launched to tackle sickle cell anaemia

The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) is conducting nationwide awareness programs to combat sickle cell anemia, particularly in tribal regions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prioritized addressing the issue, and the NCST conducted reviews of tribal welfare programs in Andhra Pradesh. The commission's delegation included members Jatothu Hussain and Nirupam Chakma, Secretary Prashant Kumar Singh, and Director P. Kalyan Reddy.
