Tricked In Thailand, Rescued From Laos: Gujarat Sisters' Ordeal

Two sisters from Gujarat's Anand district have been rescued from a human trafficking syndicate in Laos after being missing for nearly 20 days. Mitesh Patel, the Member of Parliament from Anand, initiated high-level interventions with the Ministry of External Affairs and diplomatic channels to locate the women and ensure their safety. A joint operation involving the Indian Embassy, the Ministry of External Affairs, the Laos police, and the Laos army successfully located and secured the sisters in the Houaphanh province of Laos. The sisters are now under the care of local authorities in Laos and will be repatriated to India soon.
