CMRL appeal against ED probe: HC directs status quo till June 5
Potential abuse of power and suppression of justice are at play.
The Kerala High Court has ordered the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to maintain the status quo in the pay-off case involving Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd. (CMRL) and Exalogic Solutions. The court will rule on Friday, June 5th, after CMRL appealed a single bench order dismissing its plea to quash the ED's investigation into alleged misappropriation of public funds. The ED has agreed to refrain from taking any further action until then.
