Siddaramaiah, Karnataka's Chief Minister, announced his resignation during a breakfast meeting at his residence on May 28th. He informed his Cabinet colleagues that he had been asked to step down by the Congress High Command. He will visit the Governor’s office and address a press conference later in the day.
