
Bengaluru digital arrest scam: Accused linked to ₹15 crore Belagavi cyber fraud too
Large-scale cyber fraud is being reported as routine.
Six inter-State cyber fraud suspects arrested in connection with a ₹24 crore "digital arrest" scam in Bengaluru have also been linked to another ₹15 crore case in Belagavi. Palak Bhai Patel and Amit Narendra Patel, from Ahmedabad, are accused of involvement in the Belagavi case, which was registered with the Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS). The suspects are currently in custody of the Bengaluru City Cyber Crime Police for further investigation. The police have recovered ₹1.46 crore so far, while another ₹1.40 crore is under recovery.
