Glitches in CBSE portal leave Class 12 students seeking re-evaluation hassled
Following complaints from students and parents about the new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan requested a detailed report from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The OSM system, which replaced traditional paper evaluation, faced technical glitches leading to issues with re-evaluation, portal crashes, and blurred answer sheet scans. Congress general secretary (communications) Jairam Ramesh criticized the government's handling of the situation, calling for the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. The CBSE has extended the deadline for re-evaluation applications and is working to address technical issues with the system.
