India is important to the U.S.’s Indo-Pacific policy, says Rubio, invites Modi to Washington

Secretary of State Marco Rubio began a four-day trip to India, meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials. Rubio emphasized the importance of the Indo-Pacific region and renewed the Quad engagement, highlighting India's role in U.S. policy. The visit included bilateral talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, attendance at the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, and a reception hosted by the U.S. Ambassador to India. The trip also included cultural exchanges and visits to Jaipur and Agra.
