The petitioner, L. Vasuki, argues that Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay's appeal to children to vote for his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), constitutes "exploitation of minor children for electoral propaganda" and falls under the definition of corrupt practice. The petition also cites a representation by the anti-corruption organization Arappor Iyakkam alleging that DMK and AIADMK members distributed cash to voters in certain constituencies. The court has sought responses from the ECI and CEO by May 29, 2026.
