‘No place for personal enmity in politics’, says G. Sudhakaran on swearing in former Kerala CM Pinarayi as MLA
G. Sudhakaran, the newly sworn-in Pro Tem Speaker, stated that he holds no personal animosity towards former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He emphasized that political differences should not be based on personal grudges and that his role as Pro Tem Speaker is to initiate the oath-taking process for all MLAs. Sudhakaran, a former CPI(M) leader who now sits as an Independent, also acknowledged the defeat of the CPI(M) in the recent Assembly elections, but declined to comment on whether Vijayan and M V Govindan, the party's state secretary, should resign.
