C. Joseph Vijay, president of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Nehru Stadium in Chennai. He secured the support of 120 MLAs-elect, enough to form a government, after meeting with Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and receiving unconditional support from the VCK and the IUML.
