Bihar Cabinet expansion on May 7, Modi, Shah and Nabin to attend event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP president Nitin Nabin will be present for the expansion of the Bihar Cabinet in Patna on Thursday, May 7, 2026. The event is expected to feature most members from the previous Nitish Kumar-led NDA government retained, with a few new faces added to fill all 36 berths. The BJP aims for a "gala event" and preparations are underway at Gandhi Maidan. Jitan Ram Manjhi, leader of the HAM (S), has stated he will not demand a Cabinet berth and is content with whatever is offered. The expansion is expected to include some new faces, potentially more women Ministers, and may see the return of several existing ministers from both the JD(U) and BJP.
