Palacode, Veerapandi and Kulithalai frontrunners in voter turnout since 2011
Three Assembly segments in Tamil Nadu, Palacode, Veerapandi, and Kulithalai, consistently ranked among the top five for voter turnout in every election since 2008. While overall voter turnout fluctuated over the years, these three segments maintained their positions at the top despite statewide trends. Veerapandi topped the state in 2011 with 89.16% and remained a stronghold of the AIADMK, while Palacode, another rural segment, achieved high voter turnout in both 2016 (88.63%) and 2021 (88.13%). Kulithalai, located in the central region, also saw consistent high voter turnout, ranking second in 2011, 2016, and 2021 before dropping to third in 2026 despite recording 92.8%.
